SUMMER 2008 ADULT  ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE

Welcome to the 9^th season of summer play in Ottawa's most exciting summer recreational adult hockey league!

LEAGUE INFORMATION

·               20 Game season over approximately 16 weeks

·               All games played at University of Ottawa Sports Complex & Carleton University

·               Season will run from approx mid-April to late July/early August, 2008

·               Approximately 12 divisions (a division for every caliber of play)

·               Non-contact (all divisions)

·               Schedule, standings and statistics posted daily on Travellers web site

·               Qualifying teams accepted on a first-come, first served basis 

·               See below for summer league entry fee and “early-bird” information
   

TEAM ENTRY FEES & DISCOUNTS  

·         First 36 registrations received (teams 1 to 36 - discount $200) > Total fee = $3,495

·         Next 24 registrations received (teams 37 to 60 - discount $145)> Total fee = $3,550

·         Next 12 registrations received (teams 61 to 72 – discount $70) > Total fee = $3,625

·         Remaining teams to register:   (teams 73 and after) >                 Total fee = $3,695

   

PAYMENT SCHEDULE (or Lump-Sum Payment)  

Payment of entry fee may be made in full (LUMP SUM) anytime in advance of the payment schedule due dates, or you may follow the payment schedule below. PLEASE NOTE THAT CASH PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

 

1^st  cheque:          $ 395 deposit now due

2^nd cheque:          $ 1,500 dated May 1, 2008

3^rd cheque:           $ 1,600 dated June 1, 2008

4^th cheque:           A 4^th cheque may be required depending on your early-bird ranking. An additional cheque, if required, should be dated June 1, 2008, and must be submitted by April 1, 2008. Teams will be advised of their early-bird ranking and the amount of their final post-dated cheque after all registrations have been submitted.

PLUS >   A separate $100 bond cheque, dated April 15, 2008, to cover returnable team bond for the season. (If your team already has a $100 bond held by the league, a separate cheque for $100 is not required)

Please make cheques or drafts payable to “Travellers Athletic Club” and write team name on all cheques.

INDIVIDUALS LOOKING FOR FULL TIME POSITIONS ON A TEAM

The Travellers does not accept individual registrants and place them on teams. We do, however, allow individuals who are looking for full time placement on a team, the opportunity to post a profile on a draft board (Goalie Draft Board & Skater Draft Board).

To get on the draft board, your must complete the Draft Board Information Form (Excel spreadsheet), and e-mail as an attachment to office@ottawatravellers.ca.

 

PLAYER WAIVERS

Once your team is accepted into the League, each player on your team will be required to submit electronically the “Player Registration/Waiver Form” prior to his first game of the season. This online registration form will be posted on the Travellers Club web site prior to the beginning of the season.
