The Travellers does not accept individual registrants and place them on teams. We do, however, allow individuals who are looking for full time placement on a team, the opportunity to post a profile on either the goalie or skater draft board.

I've played for the Travellers league since 2005 and love the whole organization. I'm really looking forward to playing again this summer, and rarely miss a game. I played in the "Open" division 1 in the Minto league last season and this season I'm playing in Gatineau with high caliber players. My strenght are: Playmaker, very fast skater and a good teamates. I play forward but preferably on the wing. I played A level hockey most of my life and got called up for some junior B hockey. I had some coworkers that played in the winter travellers league in division 5 and they would ask me to play sometimes and I faired out pretty well in that division. Anything division 5 and under and I would probably be a good addition to the team. |

| I grew up in Toronto and played "AA" hockey until I was 19. Since then I've been playing in men's leagues in Toronto and Kingston, usually in the first or second division. Most recently, I played for six months with the South African national hockey team in Johannesburg, from June to November, 2007. I tend to be able to play up to the level of the players I'm playing with, and even when I'm playing with lower-calibre players, I tend not to dominate. So I've played on teams with NCAA players and guys who now play in that British elite league; but I've also played with career houseleaguers, and in either case, I rarely stand out. Like I wrote, I'm most comfortable playing forward, and centre specifically, but I'm quite happy and capable playing defense as well. I am a little on the smaller side, though, at 5' 9" and 150 lbs. My strengths tend to be my skating, defensive play and general hockey sense; I'm not very flashy. I'm moving to Ottawa from Kingston in May, so that's why I'm trying to enter as an individual; I don't know any other hockey players in Ottawa. I hope this suffices as a description. | ||||||
